«Honestly, I didn’t know it was even possible. It was faster and cheaper than by mail.»
I live in Gdansk, and my sister lives in Kharkov. Her phone broke recently, and I just happened to have an old iPhone that was just lying around. I wanted to send it by mail, but the shipping cost just killed me – it was almost like buying a new phone!
A friend advised me to try a service that helps me find people who are already going in the right direction. So, in five minutes I found a guy who was going to Ukraine and was ready to take my phone. We met in the city center, I gave him the parcel, and in two days my sister was holding the phone in her hands.
I didn’t think it could happen like this – without endless papers, tracking numbers and waiting. Now I know where to go if I need to send something home again.

«I was flying to Almaty anyway – why not take a small package with me?»
I lived in Phuket for several months, but decided to return to Kazakhstan. A couple of days before the flight, I came across an ad: a girl needed to hand over documents and a small gift to her parents in Almaty.
We contacted, discussed the details – it turned out that it was a small envelope and a soft toy. There was plenty of space in my luggage, so I just took the package with me. At the Almaty airport, I handed it over right in the arrivals hall. It took five minutes – and I got some money, which was enough for a taxi home.
I can’t say that this is a way to get rich, but if you’re already flying somewhere – why not earn a little for tickets? Now I sometimes take small parcels if the route matches.

«I had already resigned myself to the fact that the documents would not arrive on time. But in the end they were delivered in three days!»
I study in Seattle, and my parents recently moved to Batumi. I urgently needed to send important documents, but express delivery from the USA turned out to be simply cosmically expensive. And regular mail offered 2-3 weeks, which did not suit me at all.
I found a girl who was flying to Tbilisi in a couple of days. I wrote to her, explained the situation – it turned out that it was not at all difficult for her to take an envelope with her. We met at the airport, I handed over the documents, and three days later, my mother was already holding them in her hands.
I didn’t even think that such things could be solved so easily. Next time, I won’t even try to look for courier services.
